I Sing of Spring
On this special equinox day, a poem to inspire a deeper enjoyment of this particular cycle:
I sing of spring:
A time of newfound reverence for the world around us.
An opportunity to remember the beauty of this place, these creatures, this food, our bodies.
I sing of fresh starts and full moons
That arrest our attention and remind us the value of looking up.
I sing of new ideas, beginnings, and metamorphoses:
Transitions into different phases of life, and the portal threshold in between.
I sing of the warming breeze kisses
And the shaking off of winter hats for flower crowns of sunshine.
I sing of rebirth, and deep awe.
A pause, a balance, a harmony.
A beautiful day of celebration and appreciation in this dance of life.
During this special time, I'm offering a few ways to capture the magic of the equinox whether you live in Washington, D.C. or anywhere around the world: via instagram live this evening at 5:30 PM Eastern or the special mini-retreat this Saturday: Reverence and Awe.
